Wedding Case Study: Michelle and Jordan
Weddings are times of celebration. A coming together of two families and sets of friends.
What better opportunity for haiku-ing than such an event!?!
In Kingston, NY on a sunny day in mid-April, the Kafel and Cintron families united through Michelle and Jordan and their wee baby Raiden.
Here are the stories, 17-syllables at a time.

As the guests entered the reception, they walked over haiku, including this invitational…
We ask for your words
written lovingly in chalk
a few syllables

Message from the musicians: Communion of Song - lift our voices to Honor - Michelle and Jordan.

Father of the Groom: Jo, born a blessing - you have tripled the blessing - with your wife and child

Parents of the Bride: Michelle forever - Weddings will change the last name - Cintron now became

Even in French: Amour pour toujours - Entre Michelle et Jordan - Raiden et famille

Party animal writes: Dancing in the streets- singing, laughing, super freak - Living life care free

Earnest, youthful guests: Love comes in all forms - From the ocean to the plains - Love is everywhere

Friend of Groom: We met at Starbucks - our personalities meshed - he's not a douche bag

Friends of Bride: Michelle and Jordan - No blood but family still - Brooklyn love reigns dawn!

Bartender gets in on the fun: Signature cocktail - a banana, spice, rum JOY! - too soon it's empty!
Testimonial from the Bride:
If you want something truly unique, thoughtful, engaging and memorable for your wedding, book Guerilla Haiku Movement! Not only was the event itself enriched by the explosion of colored chalk, passion and joy that GHM brought to our wedding, but with the added haiku photo album we received, we are able to look back on how special the day was, not just for ourselves, but for our family, friends, and even the wedding staff!
What we came away with was a living guestbook, not your standard sign your name and say, best wishes. Our guests shared their unique experience of US, bringing us both laughter and tears of joy!
Prior to the event, Caley took the time to get to know what we envisioned for the event (the style, pace and atmosphere), and then made sure she knew who the various groups of guests would be (friends, family, co-workers, etc.), so she could make sure all guests had the opportunity to write us a haiku.
Our guests still talk about how much they loved GHM, whether they were immediately ready to write - or needed a little coaxing - and have commented that they think its something totally different and totally FUN!
